Singers Who Surprised With Good Music In 2011
Who are the artists who inspire others to learn singing by surprising us with not only great music but beautifully written lyrics? through the Singing Software program 'singorama'. Here is an incomplete list of singers who managed to surprise us this 2011. This is not a ranked list and if there are some artists who are not included here, this writer wholeheartedly begs forgiveness.
1. Adam Lambert – Outlaws of Love

This as yet to be released single was debuted in July of 2011 during his concert in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Québec, Canada. The song is going to be in his new album slated for a fall release. Sung live and accompanied only by lead guitarist, Monte Pittman. It sums up all the feelings of love, acceptance and the trials of a life that cannot find fulfillment in a world unaccepting of the differences of others. The lyrics are poignantly and heartbreakingly written and has made the followers of this artist want more from him.
2. Jessie J – Do It Like A Dude

This is the same singer/songwriter who gave us the massively surprising hit, “Party In The USA” sung by Miley Cyrus. This is a strong song that encourages all women to be as strong as men, if not stronger and better. Obviously the women who hear this song love it, while the men, well, there are too many guys out there who do not really like stronger men. Surprising? Most definitely.
3. Ian Axel – This Is The New Year

The song ‘This Is The New Year’ is the title song to his debut album released in February of this year. It is a happy song and can encourage many to want for more this new year. Inspiring? Yes. Surprising, definitely. Truly an inspirational artist who obviously plays music for the sheer delight of it.
4. Sky Ferreira - Obsession

Obsession is an electropop single from 18-year-old Sky that landed in the dance charts in the US. Although it did not really do good in the market, still, it is surprisingly fresh and danceable sound that make people stand up and take notice. For a newcomer, this is one singer who not only surprised, but delighted crowds.
5. Oh Land (Nanna Oland Fabricius )

Oh Land is the pseudonym of the Danish pop, electronic and experimental singer/songwriter. She has come out as a league all her own jumping from dance beats one song and orchestral vocals in the next. The effect is a dance music that makes people want to move and keep on moving.
6. James Blake – “Limit To Your Love”

Talk about an original singer/songwriter. James Blake shows us that a sentimental journey can be sung to an electropop sound. It is both unusual and beautiful in a strange sort of way. Definitely a different music that is a genre all its own.
7. Tino Coury – “Up Against The Wall”

Tino Coury broke into the male pop genre which surprised many. It really helps that this guy has a face to match his sweet face. His music made people dance and his success has brought him up in the top ranks of male pop artists.
